Graph-gan - Winnie the Pooh Baby Blanket

Graphgan Baby Blanket

Not sure if this will work. I've been posting craft photo's to facebook and loads of people have asked for the patterns.  Here it is. A Gorgeous Winnie the Pooh blanket. I can't take credit for the graph, I grabbed that from Pintrest.  The pattern is written to work with any graph you find. Making it very versatile.

Graphgan Baby Blanket

Materials: 8 Ply yarn. For this blanket I used 11 skeins of yarn, 100g skeins.
Hook: Size 6 mm

Choose your Graphgan graph. My example is a 50 sq x 100 sq.

Chain 50, turn

1. Chain 1, sc into 2nd chain from hook (this counts as 2nd sc, sc to end. (50 sc)
(Always start each row the same as row 1)

2. Chain 1, sc into 2nd chain from hook, sc in each sc to end

3. Rows 3 to 100 (or however big your graph is) follow the simple sc each stitch pattern, whilst working to the colours of your graph. Ensure you use a different bobbin for each colour change.

4. Once your 50 x 100 graph is complete, work around the rectangle. SC in each stitch and 2 sc in each corner stitch to create a nice corner turn.

Work around in yellow for 3 rows.
Work around in black for 2 rows
Work around in gold for 5 rows
Work around in black for 2 rows
Work around in Red for 5 rows
Work around in black for 2 rows
Work around in Green for 5 rows
Work around in black for 2 rows
Work around in Gold for 5 rows
Work around in Black for 2 rows
Work around in yellow for 2 rows
Work in Yellow for last row, using Picot stitch as follows
- Picot stitch in corner stitch (middle of 3 sc corner), sc in next 3 stitches, 1 picot stitch in next sc, repeat until the beginning corner.

Notes and Tips. Stop every 10 rows or so and weave in the ends, as they will get very messy.

Isajourney Day 2!!

Day 2!!!
Day one went well. The shakes are yummy, the water was a little hard to get through.  Managed 5 of the 6 bottles I was supposed to drink.
Spent a lot of the day emptying my bladder lol which is the point I suppose.
My body will get use to that hopefully. Only really felt hungry about 6 pm which told me it was time for dinner.
Dinner was lovely.  A pic below to show it off!!!
Here's to another great few days.

Obviously a before photo there as well. Hmmm can only get better.

New Life Starts Tomorrow

Thanks to a colleague of mine, I'm fairly confident I have found the company that will change my life!!!
He arrived at my workplace 3 and a bit months after I'd seen him last and had dropped 31 kgs.  Needless to say I, ever dieting Ange was Very very interested in finding out what he'd been doing.
After speaking to him and his lovely wife I am about to start Isagenix.
Don't worry I've done my research and I'm really really excited.
So ordered it all last Saturday and it arrived today. Real keen to start tomorrow. So ill take measurements and photos and do the weigh in tomorrow.

Yes I want to lose weight but more importantly I can't wait to feel better, less tired, more energy.
If all the claims are true, I'll be running 5 kgs by xmas.
I'd be satisfied if I could wear my work shirt without having to pull it down over my backside every 2 secs.
So here we go again for the last time!!!!

Talk soon!!!

Goodness me. Where has the last 2 and a bit years gone!!!!

Fascinating!!! I can't believe I'm writing the same update blog as last time lol.
2 and a bit years on and what's the update.
Lost more weight, put it back on haha. My latest is low carb ie: nearly none!! And I love it. Last year I lost 16 Kgs doing that and it was fairly easy. Once you're use to the no sugar thing it's all good.
And back on it again now and enjoying it.
Work- am not selling cars anymore, while I loved the actual selling, the company I was working for had a few changes of management and I didn't really see eye to eye, so I moved on.
I am now a sales rep for a auto parts company. I've been in the job about 4 months now and am still enjoying it. Company car and all that stuff.  Means a bit of travelling once a fortnight that's working out ok too.
The kids are older now, the daughter has her license and we hardly see her and the son is nearly 15 and very helpful.
Hubby is out of work at the moment but hopefully will get something soon.
We are about to buy a caravan and upgrade from the camping trailer. Pretty excited I'll tell you.
So hopefully my blog will turn into a caravanning blog with awesome ideas and stories,
In the meantime I think that's about it for now.
Cheers

My Word - looky looky I'm back

Well, it appears that last years goal of maintaining this blog - FAILED!!

However, I just resurected it again.  So what have I been doing since April 2011. My my, what haven't I been doing.

I'll list the highlights in bullet point and that should get us started...

* Ended up losing 17.3kgs on the Biggest Loser thing I did with the Radio :-)
* Put 20kgs back on :-(
* Faced the reality that if I take my eye off the ball, the kilo's come galloping back
* Kid's both got a year older, DD now 15 and DS now 11.
* Celebrated both a 17th and 18th Wedding anniversary :-)
* Had Hubby's 18 year old cousin move in with us from NZ for 6mths, now that was an experiance I don't want to repeat.  He's now safely moved out and functioning on his own
* Left the Radio station (Hardest sales job I have ever had)
* Started selling Used Cars (Best sales job I have ever had - been here 4 months now and LOVE it)
* Did the Bowen Triathlon last year - awesome it was too. Came last, but didn't care
* Started cooking with a little more adventurism (if thats a word)
* Went to Mackay's biggest Boot Camp with Shannon Ponton (wonderful man)
* Realised, I needed help with my weight again
* Joined Jenny Craig

And I think here we are......

So Jenny Craig - what a awesome program. Food is great - I don't even have to think about what I'm eating and for the first 20 kgs, thats exactly what I need.  Family is very supportive and often a little jealous of my meals lol.

So it's been 3 weeks and have lost 3.8kgs.  Am back at the Gym 6 days a week and loving that too.
I'm back in training for the Triathlon, as I want to complete the Bowen Triathlon again and NOT come last, and beat last years time of 1 hour 22mins. I even have DD training with me at the Gym and whilst she doesn't want to do the Triathlon, DS does, so he's going to compete in the kids event.  Awesome.

My job - who knew!!!!
Selling used cars is fantastic. I love it and the people I work with.  The money is heaps better than I used to get at the Radio station!!

Anyway, I think that's all for now.  Thats not a bad catch up anyway.

Chat soon.

It's been a while

Boy oh boy, what a month. I had no idea it had been THAT long. What a lot I haven't told you about.

Went to my training in Brisbane and combined that with my Parents combined 60th Birthday - very great time had.

Took the kids to Dreamworld and we had a awesome time. They loved it and I went on some rides that I had promised myself never to do again lol.

Had a lovely time with the family for the rest of the weekend. Loved spending time with my nephew - Denzel (and the rest of my neices and nephews too, but seeing as Denzel's only 2 months old - it was extra special)

Eating during this time was ok - had a few wines during the weekend, but nothing outrageous. Did some exercise while I was at the hotel - Treadmill and weights, that type of thing.

Then said "hooray" to the family and ventured onto the New Job training course, which was in a word - AWESOME!!!! Best sales training I have ever done. Again went well with the food and drink and did some exercise. However, what I did learn was that sometimes you can't be in total control of what you eat. I made the best of a bad situation however, wraps over pizza - that sort of thing.

Anyway, upon returning home, i had put on 800gms. So not terribly terrible, but not fantastic either.

Started my new job on the Monday and have loved it so far - very busy and full on, but that's how I like it.

The team have been great and I'm pretty sure I am starting to find my feet.

As for the rest of my weight loss - I am up to 13 kilo's down now - which I am really happy about. The end date is the 21st May to which I will have hoped to loose another 7 kilo's.

The great thing is that I am now in clothes that I haven't worn in 8 + years. And yes, I still have some of those in my wardrobe (hoarder much....)

We are having a reveal on the 21st - sort of like a before and after for the family which is very exciting, means we get to dress up and make the most of what we've accomplished. I can't wait. We get to invite family and friends - which is cool - as it has taken a lot of support from everyone to do this.

I will post some photos of before and current a bit later, I'm not seeing a massive difference - but they say that's always the case - but the clothes obvioulsy say it's working :-)

Anyway, thats enough waffle from me for now. I promise to update more often.

We should have some fun photos after the weekend, the biggest loser contestants are becoming "human Lamington's" - ie: being drowned in a chocolatey mixture and then rolled in coconut.

Ah... the things we do for radio.......

Until next time - have a great easter everyone.
